The Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain, NC is the start line for this revered downhill half marathon that takes runners on a scenic combination of paved and forested gravel roads from Ridgecrest to the Town of Old Fort.  Starting at 6:01 AM, runners escape the heat of late May and the crowds of city races.  Capped at only 350 runners, this race always sells out and has become one of the more popular half marathons in the region.

The Downhill at Dusk 5K will not take place this year but we hope to bring it back in 2023.

Everyone must pick up their own packet and provide a picture ID to do so.  Parents may pick up the packets of minor children but must also present a picture ID.
